Danakosha Dharma Center is a registered religious community in Finland. Danakosha is a Vajrayana Buddhist community in the Tibetan early translation school or Nyingma tradition. It was founded by a reincarnated Tibetan Buddhist master Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, who is originally from Tibet, together with the sangha of Danakosha. We provide a place for Buddhist study and meditation in Finland, as well as for foreigners.
Our teacher, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, has over the years tirelessly taught many sutras and commentaries of Indian and Tibetan masters, such as Aryadeva, Longchen Rabjam, Terdag Lingpa, Jigme Lingpa, and Mipham Rinpoche. Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche and the sangha of Danakosha have also invited many great Tibetan masters to Finland, such as His Holiness Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, who was the sixth throne holder of the Ngayur Nyingma school, His Holiness the Sakya Trizin Rinpoche, Kyabje Khochhen Rinpoche, and Mindrolling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche. The first teacher to visit Danakosha was Kyabje Khochhen Rinpoche, the director of Mindrolling Monastery, in 2007. Rinpoche kindly bestowed the empowerments of Hayagriva, Minling Dorsem, and Amitayus.

H.H. Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche In 2008 His Holiness graciously bestowed the empowerments of peaceful Padmasambhava, a treasure by Guru Chöwang; the empowerment of the Seven Line Prayer with a transmission of 108 different activities based on the Seven Line Prayer, a treasure by Apong Terton; and an empowerment of a wrathful form of Guru Rinpoche in the form of Vajrapani, Hayagriva and Garuda from Longchen Nyingthig.

In 2009 His Holiness Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche kindly bestowed the empowerments of Kagye or Eight Herukas from the Northern Treasures by Rigdzin Godem; Lama Gong Du or Embodiment of the Guru’s Heart by terton Sangye Lingpa,the first terton or treasure revealer in Tibet; Dorje Phurba or Vajrakilaya, a treasure by Guru Chowang and one of the main practices of Mindrolling Monastery; and teachings on Phowa from Longchen Nyingthig.
To some disciples His Holiness also gave the transmission of Yeshe Lama of Great Perfection by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa.

Her Eminence Mindrolling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche has been teaching in Finland almost every year since 2010, very generously giving precious dharma teachings. Over five years she completed a deep and profound step-by-step teaching of Nine yanas, a special tradition of Dzogchen teachings in Nyingma tradition, and gave many public lectures.

In 2010 Danakosha organized the very first drubchod retreat in Finland, a Konchog Chidu drubchod of accomplishing the three roots of Padmasambhava, led by Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche together with his brother Venerable Khenpo Pema Rangjung from Dzogchen monastery.

In 2012 His Eminence Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche kindly gave a public lecture on What is Buddhism and a teaching on the Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen.
རིས་མེད་ཀྱི་སྐྱེས་བུ་དམ་པ་རི་མགུལ་མཆོག་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མཆོག་གིས་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོའི་བཀའ་དབང་དང་ཐར་ལམ་གྱི་སྙིང་པོ་བྱམས་པ་དང་སྙིང་རྗེའི་སྐོར་ལ་གསུང་ཆོས་གནང་།
In 2012 the rime master Ringu Tulku Rinpoche kindly gave a teaching on compassion and loving kindness, and bestowed the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara.

In 2014 His Holiness Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche kindly bestowed the empowerment of the entire Konchog Chidu: the peaceful, wrathful, and secret forms of Guru Rinpoche and the long life form of Guru Rinpoche, Orgyen Tsepagme. Moreover, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche heartfeltly requested His Holiness to bless the whole of Finland, and he toured Finland by car with many Finnish sangha members for approximately 2000 kilometers between Helsinki in the south and Äkäslompolo inthe north. This was his last visit to Finland.

In 2014 Kyabje Khochhen Rinpoche kindly bestowed the empowerments of Minling Dorsem and Rigdzin Thugthik, treasures by Terdag Lingpa.

In 2016 Mindrolling Sangyum Kushog, the་Sangyum of His Holiness Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche, the eleventh throne holder of Mindrolling and the fourth throne holder of Nyingma school, blessed our new place Danakosha Ling with H.E. Mindrolling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche and a retinue of many monks and nuns from Mindrolling Monastery.
